"WHAT CAN I DO?"

The goal of our organization is to raise enough money and gather enough volunteers so that each of the 150 or more children will be able to leave school on Friday knowing they will have food for the weekend.
Every Thursday morning volunteers will be needed to help put together bags of food, which they will then distribute to each of the Tullahoma City Schools seven locations. The teachers will place the bags of food into the backpacks of the identified children on Friday afternoon.
In order for all of this to take place we need both volunteers and financial contributions. Our volunteers meet every Thursday morning at 8:45 am. There are other opportunities for volunteers if this time doesn't work. If you are interested in becoming a part of this program please email us at 5loaves4kids@gmail.com.

On occasion we receive additional donations and help with items other than food. Pictured to the left we have Volunteers from First United Methodist Church. They helped fill our food bags with additional toiletry items. These extra goodies and essentials really brightened our children's weekend and helped their families with items its not always easy to afford to keep stocked up at home.
VOLUNTEERS

5 Loaves 4 Kids averages 125 different volunteers each year!
The number of volunteers tell an important story of community support. The faces of the volunteers complete the story. 5 Loaves 4 Kids volunteers come from every walk of life. From the president of a local bank, to a factory worker who shows up tired from working the night shift; from the city mayor to a recent widow donating in memory of her late husband; from members of the school board and board of alderman to the school custodian who faithfully recycles all of our boxes; from a Motlow State Community College student leader to a group of troubled teens in the alternative school; from a senior women’s church group to the entire Kiwanis Club and recently, even a Bunko group from a neighboring town!
The number of volunteers is impressive, but the variety of volunteers, representing widespread community support, is remarkable. Many hands work together to insure that our children are not hungry; but that they are healthy, fit and ready to learn every Monday morning.
The need for financial contributions and volunteers continues to grow. Therefore, if you would like to make a financial contribution, please make your check payable to “5 Loaves 4 Kids”
Contributions can be mailed to the organization’s treasurer
